iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo prices in Nigeria
Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and its first foldable, the iPhone Duo, at its event on 9 September 2026. The 18 Pro went on sale in the first-wave countries on 18 September, and the Duo goes on sale on 23 October. Nigeria is not a launch country and Apple has no store here, so phones reach Nigeria through authorised resellers and importers, usually at a large premium.
iPhone 18 Pro prices
| Storage | US price | Nigeria (Ziggatech, eSIM only) | Nigeria (Ziggatech, physical SIM + eSIM) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 256GB | $1,199 | ₦2,290,000 | ₦2,350,000 |
| 512GB | $1,399 | ₦2,650,000 | ₦2,750,000 |
| 1TB | $1,599 | ₦3,050,000 | ₦3,150,000 |
iStore, Apple’s main authorised reseller in Nigeria, was reported to list the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro at ₦2.269 million in October. That is about $1,671 at the exchange rate of early October, roughly 40% more than the US price before American sales tax.
iPhone 18 Pro Max prices
| Storage | US price | Nigeria (Ziggatech, eSIM only) | Nigeria (Ziggatech, physical SIM + eSIM) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 256GB | $1,299 | ₦2,475,000 | ₦2,650,000 |
| 512GB | $1,499 | ₦2,850,000 | ₦3,050,000 |
| 1TB | $1,699 | ₦3,350,000 | ₦3,450,000 |
One retailer’s pre-order listing reported by Pulse priced the 256GB Pro at ₦2.5 million and the Pro Max at ₦2.9 million, so shop around. The 2TB versions ($1,799 for the Pro and $1,999 for the Pro Max in the US) are available only on request from most Nigerian dealers.
eSIM-only or physical SIM?
US-model iPhones since the iPhone 14 have no physical SIM tray and work only with eSIM. MTN and Airtel support eSIM in Nigeria, but you have to visit a service centre or use their app to set it up, and switching phones is less convenient. That is why dealers charge more for the international versions with a SIM tray. If you rely on a physical SIM or use two lines, pay the extra.
iPhone Duo (foldable)
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the US. It goes on sale on 23 October 2026 and no Nigerian price had been confirmed at the time of writing. Based on the mark-up on the 18 Pro, expect it to cost well over ₦3.5 million when it arrives. We will add confirmed prices when Nigerian retailers list it.
What about the standard iPhone 18?
Apple did not release a standard iPhone 18 in September. It has moved the regular iPhone 18, together with a new “e” model and the next iPhone Air, to a spring 2027 launch. If you want the newest non-Pro iPhone, the iPhone 17 is still Apple’s current model.
iPhone 17 series prices in Nigeria
The iPhone 17 range, launched in September 2025, is now the best-stocked new iPhone in Nigeria. These are iStore Nigeria’s listed prices:
| Model | 256GB | 512GB | 1TB | 2TB |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 17 Pro Max | ₦2,149,000 | ₦2,779,000 | ₦2,899,000 | ₦3,599,000 |
| iPhone 17 Pro | ₦1,899,000 | ₦2,299,000 | ₦2,699,000 | Not listed |
| iPhone Air | ₦1,649,000 | ₦2,599,000 | ₦2,799,000 | Not offered |
| iPhone 17 | ₦1,569,000 | ₦1,999,000 | Not offered | Not offered |
| iPhone 17e | ₦1,369,000 | ₦1,649,000 | Not offered | Not offered |
Lagos dealers often sell the iPhone 17 Pro Max for less than iStore. Price guides list it from about ₦2.15 million, and Ziggatech listed a new 256GB iPhone 17 Pro at ₦1,936,800 in August. The launch of the 18 Pro has pushed down prices of the 17 Pro and Pro Max, particularly UK-used ones, so they are worth considering if you don’t need the newest model.

Cheap iPhones: iPhone 12, 11 and XR prices
If your budget is under ₦400,000, these are the options:
- iPhone 12 (UK-used): ₦290,000 to ₦330,000 (64GB) and ₦330,000 to ₦370,000 (128GB). It is the cheapest iPhone with 5G.
- iPhone 11 (UK-used): ₦230,000 to ₦290,000 (64GB) and ₦280,000 to ₦350,000 (128GB). It has good battery life and is still a solid all-rounder.
- iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max: about ₦290,000 to ₦500,000, depending on storage and condition.
- iPhone XR (UK-used): ₦190,000 to ₦300,000. It is the cheapest iPhone still worth considering, but Apple stopped giving it major iOS updates with iOS 26 in 2025, so treat it as a short-term or backup phone.
- iPhone X: ₦130,000 to ₦185,000. It stopped getting major iOS updates years ago, and we don’t recommend it.
Which iPhone should you buy in Nigeria?
- Under ₦350,000: a UK-used iPhone 11 or 12. Go for 128GB, because 64GB fills up quickly with WhatsApp media.
- ₦400,000 to ₦600,000: a UK-used iPhone 13 or 14. This is the best-value range. Both have strong cameras, 5G and years of updates left.
- ₦700,000 to ₦1.1 million: a UK-used iPhone 15 (USB-C, Dynamic Island, 48MP camera) or a certified iPhone 15 Pro Max.
- ₦1.3 million to ₦1.6 million: a new iPhone 16e or 17e, or a new iPhone 17 if you can stretch. A new phone comes with a full warranty and a fresh battery.
- ₦1.9 million to ₦2.2 million: a new iPhone 17 Pro or 17 Pro Max. These are now better value than the 18 Pro for most people.
- Above ₦2.3 million: the iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max if you want the newest camera and chip.
Remember that a newer iPhone also uses more data, especially when shooting and uploading 4K video. See our guide to MTN data plans and how to save data, and how to stop your phone using data in the background.
New, UK-used, Nigerian-used or refurbished: what’s the difference?
- New (sealed): unopened in the box, with Apple’s one-year warranty. Buy from an authorised reseller such as iStore or iConnect, or a reputable dealer, to be sure it is genuine.
- UK-used (foreign-used): a used phone imported from the UK, US or elsewhere. Usually in better condition than locally used phones, but quality varies widely between sellers.
- Nigerian-used: a phone previously used in Nigeria. Usually the cheapest, but more likely to have been repaired or to have a worn battery.
- Certified or refurbished: a used phone that a dealer has tested and graded, usually with a short dealer warranty. It costs a little more than an ordinary UK-used phone but carries less risk.

How to avoid fake or bad iPhones in Nigeria
- Check the IMEI and serial number on Apple’s coverage site (checkcoverage.apple.com) and with an IMEI checker to confirm the model, warranty status and whether it is reported lost or blacklisted. See our list of IMEI check tools.
- Make sure iCloud is signed out. Go to Settings and confirm there is no Apple ID on the phone and that Find My is off. An iCloud-locked iPhone is useless.
- Check battery health in Settings > Battery > Battery Health. Below 85% means a battery replacement soon, so negotiate the price down.
- Look for “Unknown part” messages in Settings > General > About. They show that the screen, battery or camera has been replaced with a non-genuine part.
- Test Face ID, the cameras, speakers, charging and network signal with your own SIM before paying.
- Avoid “too good to be true” prices on Instagram and WhatsApp. Pay on delivery or in person where possible, and never send a deposit to an unknown seller. See our guide to common WhatsApp scams.
- Get a receipt and a written warranty from the dealer, even for UK-used phones.
Where to buy iPhones in Nigeria
- Apple authorised resellers: iStore and iConnect sell new iPhones with Apple warranty and after-sales support. They are usually the most expensive option, but the safest.
- Computer Village, Ikeja (Lagos): the biggest phone market in Nigeria, with competitive prices on new and UK-used iPhones. Go with someone who knows the market and test the phone thoroughly.
- Established dealers: stores such as Ziggatech and Slot sell new and certified iPhones, often with swap (trade-in) deals.
- Online marketplaces: Jumia, Jiji and Konga. On Jiji, meet the seller in a safe public place and inspect the phone before paying.
- Buying abroad: buying in the UK, US or UAE and having someone bring it in can save money on the newest models. Check that the model supports Nigerian network bands and that you are happy with eSIM if it has no SIM tray.
Why are iPhones so expensive in Nigeria?
iPhones are priced in dollars, so the naira’s fall since 2023 has pushed prices up sharply. On top of the exchange rate, sellers add import duty, VAT, shipping, insurance and a profit margin. Apple has no official store in Nigeria, so there is no direct price competition from Apple itself. The result is that a new iPhone typically costs 30% to 50% more in Nigeria than in the US. When the naira strengthens, iPhone prices usually ease a few weeks later, but dealers are often slower to cut prices than to raise them.
