Editorial Policy and Corrections
Naijatipsland is a Nigerian forum and guide site. This page explains how we research, write, update and correct what we publish, so you can judge how far to rely on it.
What we publish
Our guides (exchange rates, elections, sport, telecoms, money and everyday how-tos) are written and maintained by the Naijatipsland editorial team. Forum topics and answers are posted by members and are their own opinions. News items shown from other outlets are excerpts or links with attribution to the original publisher.
How we research
- We start from primary or official sources where they exist: government agencies, regulators, electoral and football bodies, companies and central bank publications.
- Numbers that change (prices, rates, fees, fixtures) carry the date they were checked, and we say when a figure is an estimate or comes from a single source.
- Some articles are drafted with the help of AI tools. Every such draft is checked against its sources and edited by a person before it is published.
Updates and dates
Guides show a last-updated date. We revise them when facts change, and time-sensitive pages (exchange rate, fixtures, election timetable) are reviewed more often than evergreen ones.
Corrections
If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page and include the page address and what is wrong, with a source if you have one. We correct confirmed factual errors promptly, update the last-updated date, and note significant corrections on the page.
