Chelsea offer Thiago Silva role in their wider infrastructure

Following his spell in Brazil, Silva returned to Europe and signed with Porto, where he won the Portuguese league title this season.

The 41-year-old has now left the club, and is weighing up the next move in his career, or whether he’ll decide to retire.

Fans would love to see Silva back in some capacity once he’s finished playing, and according to ESPN Brazil the Blues have made him an offer to become part of the club’s wider infrastructure, whilst if he decides to continue playing he could return to AC Milan for a year.

The report adds the role would seem him become part of the general coaching staff, and he’d gradually progress through the club’s structure in time.

Silva made 155 appearances for the Blues, and has a brilliant relationship with the fans who’d welcome him back with open arms.
