Police have issued an update about the investigation into the murder of Robbie Lawlor
Man arrested in Liverpool after man shot dead at Belfast house
- A man was arrested in Liverpool yesterday as part of a murder investigation. Robbie Lawlor was shot dead at a house in the Etna Drive area of North Belfast on April 4, 2020.
- This morning, it was announced a man in his 40s was arrested in Liverpool on Wednesday, September 23 by Merseyside Police in connection with the investigation. As BelfastLive reports, the man has since been transported to Northern Ireland to be questioned by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).
- A PSNI spokesperson said: “A man, aged in his 40s was arrested in Liverpool yesterday, Wednesday, September 23, in connection with the investigation into the murder of Robert Lawlor.
- “The man was arrested by Merseyside Police, before being transported to Northern Ireland for questioning by the PSNI. Robert Lawlor was shot dead outside a house in Etna Drive in north Belfast on April 4, 2020.”
- Another man, Jonathan Gill, 44, with an address at Malahide Road, Clontarf, has appeared in court charged with the murder of Robbie Lawlor and possession of a 9mm pistol on a date unknown between April 2 and April 5, 2020.
