Chelsea have activated the option to recall Aaron Anselmino from his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, and it’s a decision that makes complete sense.
The 20-year-old moved to Germany in August on a season-long loan that included a break clause, and Chelsea are now right to take advantage of it. Anselmino has gained valuable Bundesliga and Champions League experience — exposure that simply can’t be replicated on the training ground.
Rather than spending more money on Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes, who is also 20, Chelsea are choosing to trust a player they already own and understand. In my view, that’s the smarter move. Anselmino has developed in a more competitive environment, tested himself at a higher level, and now returns better prepared to contribute.
Chelsea don’t need another project signing in this position — they need readiness and familiarity. Recalling Anselmino ticks both boxes.

Very good one
Somebody is now thinking. Let’s use the available talent but not signing okwardly
Myself I don’t see any improvement in Chelsea defense because Anselmino is like Fofana because he’s in and out of injuries.
Hw many games dd he play
German farmers league! Just saying.
