Kidn+ppers Arrested After Mistakenly Taking Their Sick Child to Their Previous Victim’s Hospital
Suspected kidn+ppers involved in the abd¥ction of medical doctor Dr. Ibrahim Tahir and the k+lling of his younger brother have been arrested after a dramatic twist at a hospital.
The suspects were apprehended after bringing their sick child to the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) of the same hospital where Dr. Tahir works. Coincidentally, the doctor was at the facility for wound dressing when he allegedly recognised and identified them as members of the gang that kidn+pped him.
Security operatives were immediately alerted, leading to their arrest.
Dr. Tahir was abd¥cted alongside his younger brother on January 2, 2025, at their residence in Auchi, Edo State. Although the family paid a ₦50 million ransom to secure his release, the younger brother was later found d+ad, allegedly k+lled by the abd¥ctors.
