The bible is silent on the issue of masturbation. Or let me say it didn’t address the issue directly. The only verse that has something very similar to masturbation is Genesis 38:8-10. Regarding what Onan did. If you we study the verse carefully, we see that God killed him for disobedience. Instead of planting the seed as Instructed, he was wasting it on the floor. Masturbation usually comes with lust and that is a sin so we can draw our conclusion from that.
