Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump have been holding talks in the Oval Office at the White House today. President Donald Trump gave the visiting leader of communist China a personal tour of several of his favorite White House features. He took him aboard the Marine One helicopter, presented the new granite landing pad he had built for it, and pointed out the massive adjacent construction site where a ballroom will eventually stand.
It’s been a busy schedule for the two leaders that will culimate in a state dinner which will be attended by CEOs of top AI companies, including OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Elon Musk. Well earlier Xi told his US counterpart that AI must remain “under human control”. It comes as AI leaders have sounded the alarm in recent weeks that the technology is too fast. Meanwhile China and the United States are locked in an A.I. race, Trump has dismissed calls for stricter controls, claiming AI fears are a “hoax”.
