The Israeli military said on Saturday that it had carried out around 3,400 strikes on Iran since Israel and the United States started the war against Tehran a week ago.
Military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said that roughly 7,500 munitions had been dropped on targets in Iran during the operation.
Separately, Israel’s military said Saturday evening that it had begun a new “wave of strikes” in Tehran.
Earlier, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps said that it had struck the United States’ Juffair base in Bahrain, adding that it had been used to attack an Iranian desalination plant earlier in the day.
“In response to the aggression of American terrorists from the Juffair base against the Qeshm desalination plant, this American base was immediately struck by precision-guided solid-fuel and liquid-fuel missiles of the IRGC,” the Guards said on their website.
