It’s been consecutive back to back comeback victories for Chelsea, as the Blues came from two goals down to beat West Ham Ham.
This is a massive milestone by any means, and the last time Chelsea achieved such feat was in 1987. That is to say, Chelsea may have lost or at most drawn this game under Maresca.
Like Maresca, Liam Rosenior also puts up some strange starting line-ups, as he tries to rotate the team. With one eye on Arsenal next week, Rosenior made several changes to his lineup, and even rested in-form goalscorer Joao Pedro.
At half-time, the Chelsea head coach was bold enough to make three changes having already made one during the first half. The changes paid off, with two subs coming on to score.
Liam Rosenior has shown he can be audacious with his changes, and he knows just when to turn things around early enough, which wasn’t Maresca’s greatest attribute.
However, he must learn to rotate with caution heading forward.
