Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun and his Lagos Counterpart, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, have called on Nigerian Muslims to sustain act of kindness and sacrifice beyond the holy month of Ramadan.
Abiodun made the call in a message to Muslims faithful during the two rakat prayers at the Lantoro Eid ground, Abeokuta.
The governor, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Ganiyu Hamzat, noted that the acts of kindness, prayers, and generosity carried-out during the holy month of Ramadan should not end with the season but must be sustained as continuous acts of Ibadah.

He encouraged Muslims to remain steadfast and continue offering the necessary support to ensure collective progress and success.
Also speaking, former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Ishola, called on Nigerians to uphold the values learned during the holy month.
Ishola also used the occasion to pray for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria, expressing hope that the nation would continue to attain greater heights.
Earlier in his sermon, the chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Saad Bamigbola, who led the two rakat prayers, urged people of all religions to remain committed and sincere adherents of their beliefs.
In a post on his social media handle, Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu, urged Muslims to carry spirit of kindness after Ramadan.
He said, “After a month of reflection and prayer, today is a day to celebrate the strength we draw from our shared values and community.
“I am grateful for the opportunity we all had to pause, show compassion to our neighbours and stay grounded in what truly matters. As we return to our daily routines, let’s carry that spirit of kindness with us.
“I wish you peace, good health and many blessings in the days ahead.” he wrote.
