i get what he is saying, and honestly there’s some truth mixed in there but it’s not the whole picture.
yes, some women absolutely have money and still ask men for money. that happens. it’s not new, and it’s not exclusive to nigeria. some people separate their money from relationship money, some are opportunistic, some just don’t like spending their savings. that part is real.

saving money doesn’t automatically mean honesty, and asking for money doesn’t automatically mean deceit. also, calling it “leakage blockers” ignores the fact that a lot of women save aggressively because they have to. unstable income, no safety net, family responsibilities, or simply knowing society is harsher on broke women than broke men.
and it’s not about fear of social acceptance either. most people just understand that financial strategy, moral character. someone can be smart with money and still be manipulative. someone can be broke and still be honest.

so yeah, his observation isn’t fake it’s just incomplete. reality usually sits in the uncomfortable middle, not at the loud extremes.
