
The Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Audi, has retired from service after attaining the mandatory retirement age and completing his tenure in office.
Audi, who assumed office on March 1, 2021 following his appointment by former President Muhammadu Buhari, formally bowed out of service on Friday.
He marked his final day in office during the commemoration of the 2026 World Civil Defence Day held at the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja.
The Federal Government is yet to announce a successor to the outgoing Commandant-General.
Audi, a native of Nasarawa State, was born on September 30, 1967.
He holds a PhD in Public Administration from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and a Master’s degree in Public Business Administration from the University of Calabar. He is also a member of the National Institute (mni).
