Nigerian music star Wizkid ignited fresh controversy after Instagram posts claiming he is bigger than Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
The singer also hurled insults at Fela’s son, Seun Kuti, calling him foolish at 40, sparking outrage and debate online.

Music wise Wizki is greater than Fela, there shouldn’t be comparison. Fela was respected for his advocacy with the Nigerian Government and music was very scarce at the time. How many Nigerians were singing then? Majority singers then were local dialect singers, only Fela and Sunny okosun were using English . Today wizkid is making waves across the world, no comparison please. Make we no find wetin no loss.

Wizkid is finished. He is only living on past glory. When he was shutting down stadiums back then, there was a strong backbone behind him. Now, those people who gave him that power are no longer supporting him, and that is why he can’t shut down a 20,000-capacity venue again. He even canceled 3 to 4 shows last year.
And let’s be clear, Wizkid should never be compared to Fela. Fela is not in the same category. One Fela song is bigger than Wizkid’s entire career.
As for FC, most of you can’t trend without dragging someone into your matter. That alone shows the problem with your mindset. Learn to change that useless mentality. Being loud online doesn’t mean real impact. Big for nothing.
