Man City are expected to make a move to sign Tino Livramento in the summer transfer window after tracking his progress at Newcastle for some time.
Livramento has been heavily linked to City over the last two windows, and the time may finally come for him to move to the Etihad Stadium ahead of next season.
Newcastle are currently facing an uphill battle to qualify for the Champions League once again, and the lure of competing for the top prizes could see Livramento leave for pastures new.
The England right-back has established himself as one of the best Premier League players in his position under Eddie Howe.
Livramento’s fine form this season has seen City continue to keep tabs on his availability, with a move very possible ahead of next term, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast.

Tino Livramento still on Man City’s radar amid new right-back desire
The 23-year-old featured 45 times for Newcastle last season as they finished fifth and won the Carabao Cup, while he has impressed this time around, but injuries have limited him to making just 19 appearances so far.
He is currently sidelined until mid-March, having last played on 10 January, but his chequered injury record is not set to put City off a move for Livramento’s services this summer.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Yeah, look, we know that Manchester City are long-term admirers of Tino Livramento.
“I do fully expect City to bring in a new right-back in the summer. Matheus Nunes has done a good job there, but I think City are still looking to bring in a more natural right-back to fill the void of Kyle Walker.
“Livramento…top player who has been unfortunate with injuries, but when he has played, he has been outstanding for Newcastle, so no surprise that Manchester City are maybe looking to see if there’s any possibility that they could lure him away.
“I don’t think their interest will go away. They will continue to keep tabs on him, and if they get any indication that he could be lured away from St James’ Park, they’ll be right at the front of the queue to try and sign him.”

Bayern Munich keen on John Stones after Marc Guehi move
With Livramento potentially set to arrive, another England international defender in Stones could well be on his way out of Man City this summer.
The 31-year-old’s injury issues have restricted him to playing just 14 times across all competitions this season, after he only managed 20 appearances in 2024-25.

City signed Guehi from Crystal Palace in January and also have Vitor Reis set to return from a loan at Girona this summer, with sources recently revealing to Football Insider that Bayern Munich are plotting a move for Stones.
His former teammate and Bayern boss, Vincent Kompany, is known to be a keen admirer of his abilities as a ball-playing centre-back, and could offer Stones a new challenge abroad as he reaches the latter stages of his career.
