Everything you need to know:
- American rock band Foo Fighters announced two intimate, small-scale shows in London and Manchester taking place this coming week. These surprise dates serve as a precursor to their massive stadium tour scheduled for Anfield later this June.
- In a departure from modern digital queues, tickets were sold exclusively in person at midday today, Sunday, February 22. Fans were told to physically visit the O2 Ritz in Manchester or the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London to secure their spots.
- Tickets were priced at £99 each and were limited to two per customer to ensure fair access for fans. Transactions were strictly card-only, as the venues have announced they will not be accepting any cash payments.
- The Manchester performance on February 27 is a “late show” strictly for those aged 18 and over. The London show on February 25 is more family-friendly, allowing children as young as eight in seated areas with an adult.
- These performances follow the recent release of their new single, “Your Favourite Toy”, which dropped earlier this week. The track is the lead single for their upcoming studio album of the same name, which is set to be released this April.
- Beyond these intimate gigs, the band is part of a high-profile summer line-up at Anfield. They will be joined by other major acts like Zach Bryan and My Chemical Romance.
