Fabrizio Romano puts out fresh late night update on incoming Chelsea transfer deal

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano put out a fresh late night update on one potential incoming Chelsea transfer deal.

The Blues have been in the news this past week or so with a couple of potential public transfer deals – largely around possible new players coming in.

EXCLUSIVE! The inside story around Cole Palmer and his Chelsea future being in doubt!!

Chelsea were busy getting a nice 3-1 win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League yesterday afternoon, but off the pitch, there was a major transfer update from Fabrizio Romano on the subject of Jeremy Jacquet.

Chelsea have been trying to sign a new centre back, and the French youngster was head of the list of priorities that they have been trying to sign in.

However, they’ve made another intriguing move last night in recalling centre back Aaron Anselmino from his loan spell at Dortmund, with mystery around his future now.

Some are thinking Chelsea might now be using him for the rest of the season, others are thinking he may now go to Strasbourg to cover Chelsea recalling Mamadou Sarr as their new centre back.

And Romano had even more to add to the Jacquet story late last night…

Jeremy Jacquet in action for Rennes

Romano posted on X:

‘More business to do for Chelsea in the upcoming days after activating today recall clause for Aaron Anselmino.

‘#CFC involved in race for Jeremy Jacquet to be signed now but for summer, battle ongoing with Liverpool and FC Bayern.

‘Extra business could also happen next week.’

Time running out

The transfer window closes at the weekend so time is running out to get any last minute deals done for Chelsea. Maybe this could make for an eventful transfer deadline day for The Blues.

We’ve seen rumours around a possible loan deal for Douglas Luiz to come in as well, so there’s another one to watch this week.
