Drama erupted in Bojongo, Bonaberi area of Douala, Cameroon, after a group of women reportedly att@cked a man accused of repeatedly abu¥ing his wife.
According to reports, the man popularly nicknamed “Father Lion” by locals had a history of physically assa+lting his wife, with neighbors claiming they had endured months of hearing her cries for help.
The incident reportedly occurred two days ago when residents once again heard the woman screaming. In response, several women in the neighborhood allegedly confronted the man at his compound.
A video circulating online shows the man attempting to defend himself with a machete before another individual disarmed him. The women then continued the att@ck, forcing him to flee into a nearby hut.
One local resident who confirmed the incident described the man as someone who had turned his wife into a “punching bag,” adding that the community had grown tired of the repeated ab¥se.
Eyewitnesses said the confrontation was a spontaneous reaction by residents who felt compelled to intervene after months of alleged domestic vi%lence. The incident has since sparked widespread discussion online about community justice and the ongoing issue of domestic ab¥se.
