China has announced plans to deploy up to 200,000 satellites into low Earth orbit, a move that would significantly reshape the global satellite internet market and directly challenge the dominance of Starlink, owned by Elon Musk.
If realised, the scale of the Chinese programme would mark one of the most ambitious space infrastructure expansions ever attempted, raising fresh questions around orbital congestion, global connectivity, and the balance of power in space technology.

And Africa are busy blaming others for their failure
200 satellites can’t be launched into the space at a time or at certain intervals. How easy do you think launching one is? Launching one satellite might gulp over $3 million.
