Across the globe, critics have condemned the selective discretion that sees Nnamdi Kanu imprisoned while bandits and their sponsors walk free. If Nigeria can negotiate with warlords and reintegrate militants, surely it can extend discretion to a political agitator whose movement, however controversial, has been largely symbolic.
