The Confederation of African Football has handed down heavy sanctions following the chaotic 2025 AFCON final.
Senegal receives a 615,000-dollar fine for fans’ and players’ misconduct, while Morocco is fined 315,000 dollars for the actions of ball boys, players, staff, and the use of lasers inside the stadium.
Senegal head coach Pape Thiaw also faces a $ 100,000 fine and a five-match suspension.
The decisions underline CAF’s move to clamp down on conduct that overshadowed one of the most dramatic finals in recent AFCON history.
