The Federal Government has reiterated its dedication to building an inclusive, equitable, and future-ready education system.
It says this education reform will place Nigerian youths at the heart of transforming the nation’s learning landscape.
The FG disclosed this through its Federal Ministry of Education in a Saturday release as the world marks the 2026 International Day of Education on Saturday.
It noted, “Education reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda prioritise improved funding, skills development, digital learning, TVET expansion, strengthened teacher capacity and safe, learner-friendly environments.”
With over half of the country’s population under the age of 30, the government is moving away from traditional top-down education models.
The statement emphasised that “With over half of Nigeria’s population under the age of 30, the Federal Government is transitioning from top-down education models to participatory systems that empower learners through innovation, digital fluency and entrepreneurship.”
The Federal Government also called for a collective effort in achieving these goals.
According to the statement, “The Federal Government called on parents, communities, the private sector and partners to deepen collaboration towards achieving SDG 4 and securing Nigeria’s future through youth-led education transformation.”
It concluded that “the Federal Government remains committed to ensuring that every Nigerian learner has access to quality education, equipped with the skills, digital fluency, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to drive national transformation.”
