Governor Yusuf expressed deep sympathy with the family and assured them of the state government’s continued support.
According to the statement, “The governor also directed that a new and befitting house be given to the bereaved father as part of efforts to rehabilitate him and restore his social life.”
The governor further stated that the government would take full responsibility for the man’s welfare and support him to remarry if he chooses, including meeting all necessary requirements to help him rebuild his life.
On justice, Governor Yusuf ordered the Kano State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to fast-track the prosecution of suspects already arrested over the killings. He assured that all those found guilty would face the full weight of the law.
