Two suspected armed robbers have been killed by an angry mob, while another suspect reportedly escaped after an alleged robbery incident along Airport Road in Warri, Delta State.
The incident occurred around Giwa-Amu Junction, where the suspects were said to be operating in a commercial tricycle.
According to reports, the suspects allegedly attacked a passenger and stole his iPhone 15. However, as they attempted to leave the area, the victim raised an alarm, attracting the attention of passers-by.
The alarm reportedly led to a chase, during which two of the suspects were caught by the crowd. The mob subsequently attacked and lynched them, while the third suspect managed to escape.
The two suspects were beaten to stupor before they were set ablaze. They also burnt down the tricycle along the road.
