Association Appoints Soludo’s Aide To 2026 World Conference Steering Committee In France

The International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) has appointed Ms Chinwe Okoli, Special Adviser to Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra on Innovation and Business Incubation, to the Global Steering Committee of its 43rd World Conference.

‎The conference is scheduled to hold in France from Oct. 27 to Oct. 30.

A statement by the Solution Innovation District (SID), on Tuesday said the appointment recognised Anambra State’s growing role in innovation and technology-driven development.

‎Okoli, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of SID, is the only African member of the global steering committee.

‎The statement said Okoli would join experts from government, academia, industry and technology ecosystems to help shape the strategic direction and programme of the conference.

‎According to the statement, the appointment also reflects the increasing global recognition of SID.

‎It added that the district had trained more than 264,000 residents in digital skills since 2023 while attracting private sector and development partner investments.

‎The statement said Okoli’s appointment would give Anambra a stronger voice in global discussions on science parks, innovation districts and technology-led economic development.

‎It said that the role would also create opportunities for international partnerships, investment and knowledge exchange.

‎The statement described the appointment as a personal achievement for Okoli and a proud moment for Anambra State and Nigeria, noting thst it would also strengthen the state’s engagement with the global innovation community. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
