The Kogi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, has described Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as one of the most impactful lawmakers from the state since 1999.
Gambo, who spoke on Friday while receiving a delegation of PDP members in Lokoja, urged voters in Kogi Central to support the senator for a second term in 2027.
He described Akpoti-Uduaghan as a “rare breed politician” whose leadership, he said, had brought visibility and development to the state.
According to him, the senator has remained committed to the party and has shown consistent support to PDP structures in Kogi State.
“She has displayed leadership qualities in an unprecedented manner. When she speaks, members listen. She is our leader at the state level, and we are proud of her stewardship,” he said.
Gambo said her performance in the 10th National Assembly had distinguished her within her first term, adding that her representation had placed Kogi Central on the national stage.
“She is the best Senator Kogi has ever had since 1999. She is a winning team, and we cannot afford to change a winning team. Another term for Sen. Natasha will be for consolidation and greater impact,” he stated.
The PDP chairman also highlighted her empowerment programmes, including support for widows, youths and small-scale business owners, as well as provision of vehicles, equipment and learning materials.
He said her developmental projects had further strengthened her acceptance across the district.
“Her name is now a household name across Kogi Central. Her record is unblemished, and no one can fault her integrity. She has built schools, constructed roads, and upgraded markets with a class and vision that is difficult to match in just two years,” Gambo added.
Gambo urged party members to remain united behind the senator, describing her as a unifying figure within the PDP in the state.
