Where Chelsea are rated in Premier League’s most valuable squads – it’s not top

Chelsea have been rated third in the Premier League’s most valuable squad by transfer valuation website, Transfermrkt.

The Blues have spent well over £1.5bn on their current squad since the new owners arrived in 2022. But interestingly enough, they are not the highest value squad in the league, at least according to this report.

They have based it on what they call market value for each player, so it is only really on their forecast., yet it presents an interesting set of results all the same.

Manchester City top the list, with Arsenal behind them, and then Chelsea in third place just above Liverpool.

Most valuable squads

The most valuable Premier League squads based on market value:

Tottenham in 5th spot should be concerning for them due to where they currently are in the Premier League table and how bad they have been lately. They got hammered again last night as well in the Champions League.

Chelsea will be hoping that their market values go up very soon with the amount they have spent on their squad. But we all know that could take time because they buy development talent and then hopefully watch them grow some.

In other news this week…

One move that will definitely be made in the summer is arrival of Geovany Quenda to Chelsea from Sporting for around £18m – and there are already plans in place for him.

Luis Enrique took his PSG press conference yesterday, and he previewed tonight’s Champions League game by speaking a lot about Liam Rosenior’s style of play.
