Right now, Chelsea clearly lack a commanding leader at the back. Liam Rosenior’s decision to bring on three young defenders — Hato, Acheampong, and Sarr — when the team were already down to ten men was a poor call. It was a moment that required experience, composure, and strong leadership to see out the game.
Instead, Chelsea needed senior players on the pitch to manage the closing stages. Players like Reece James and Pedro Neto should have been there to help the team finish the game professionally.
