The 3rd position is very much up for grabs, and Manchester United and Chelsea will definitely be eyeing that.
Chelsea currently sit in 5th place, but the Blues aren’t far behind anymore. Chelsea are 13 points behind Arsenal, 7 points behind Manchester City, 4 points behind Aston Villa and just a point behind Manchester United.
Just like Chelsea, Manchester United have also been resurgent under a new boss, while Villa are fading away quietly.
Villa were in the title race just three weeks ago and once held a 12 point lead over Chelsea, but have now won just one of their last four league games, losing two and drawing one. Liverpool have also gone a bit behind after losing to Manchester City.
Chelsea must continue this fine form and continue to take advantage of the slips of rivals. That’s why the next two games are must-wins before we face Arsenal again, who have been our nemesis in the past five years.
