Liverpool have reached an agreement with Rennes for the signing of Chelsea transfer target Jeremy Jacquet in a deal set to be completed this summer. The transfer is expected to be worth £55 million, with a further £5 million in add-ons, and personal terms are not anticipated to pose any problems.
Chelsea matched Liverpool’s offer for Jacquet, but the player ultimately opted for a move to Anfield. His decision was influenced by the expected return of Mamadou Sarr to Chelsea, as well as the club’s intention to keep Josh Acheampong.
