Operatives of Eagle Raiders Squad of the Edo State Police Command have arrested the seven-man syndicate that killed a Point of Sales operator last week.
Items recovered from the gang were one locally made eight round Revolver, one locally made single-barrelled pistol, and one white mini-bus marked NNE 74XD ANAMBRA, which was used for the operation.
Edo Police spokesman, Eno Ikoedem, named the suspects, including Idemudia Enadeghe, Musa Abdulsalam, Kelechi John, Stefan Braimah, Wisdom Osasere, Miracle Osayande, and Miracle Monday.
She said all the suspects confessed to being members of the Supreme Eiye Confraternity Cult.
Meanwhile, a woman, Martina Dachung, who sold her baby for N1.4m, has been arrested at Uromi, Esan North East local government area.
Ikoedem said Matron of Eguavon Medical Center, Uromi, Ighalo Grace, and one Oha Promise, who were connected to the illegal sale of the baby, have been arrested.
She said the newborn baby has been retrieved, and evidence of N1.4m transaction recovered.
The suspects, according to Ikoedem, would soon be charged in court.
