The Secretary to the Gombe State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has congratulated the former Director General, Research and Documentation, Government House, Professor Mua’zu Shehu, over his appointment as Permanent Secretary into the Government of Gombe State Service by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Professor Njodi equally saluted Mua’zu Shehu for attaining the rank of professorship, which is the highest elevation in the university circle.
The SSG described Prof. Mua’zu as a fine gentleman who often displays unwavering commitment and dedication to the tasks assigned to him.
According to him, “It is the desire of everyone who chooses academics as a career to reach the peak, which is attaining the rank of a professor.”
He added, “Professor Mua’zu has attained that, and I am overwhelmed. I am not surprised knowing and working closely with him; his hard work, determination, and excellent performance within and outside the academic cycle are not only legendary but admirable.”.
On his appointment by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa as a Permanent Secretary to the Government of Gombe State, the SSG hailed the move, noting that Professor Shehu has been adding tremendous value to the governance of Gombe State since his appointment as Director General, Research and Documentation Government House, by Governor Inuwa Yahaya.
The SSG stressed that “he has been doing excellently well, and his appointment as a Permanent Secretary is akin to putting a square peck in a square hole.”
