Nigerians are warm, friendly, kind, fun, witty, and merry. Despite their problems, all our pains go unnoticed. We are sensitive about all the troubles we have, and our heart silently cries in hurt. Yet we still grin and tease out of everything. If only we had good leaders, Nigeria would have been the best place on earth.
If we say Nigerians are one of the happiest people on the planet, I doubt that we will examine it. So the populace’s common expression is silliness. People that disapprove of their own misery joke about their misfortunes. It’s thought of as being a coping mechanism for us Nigerian folk. I won’t be surprised to hear that it functions for Nigerians to receive a little elevated than idiocy.
The way we can figure out how to endure and even take our minds off of everything that’s imperfect in our country is to have fun. Fun is not any way for us to discover how to keep going and also move past the imperfect conditions of our area.
In Nigeria, we create fun and jokes out of our political ruler’s bad policies and corruption, even when we are suffering the effects. We turn a protest into a party, we create happiness out of nothing, and turn every situation into a comedy. Nigerians use banter and humour to hide our suffering in the country and hopelessness caused by the government.
