“Whatever you do, don’t ever be a victim in Nigeria” – Mary Njoku tells Nigerian ladies as she trades words with critic over the missing ladies

Nollywood actress and savvy entrepreneur Mary Remmy Njoku has sent a message to Nigerian ladies.

Taking to her Instagram page, the Harvard undergraduate admonished ladies never to call victims in Nigeria because it is the end for them. She noted how even if they die, they would be blamed for it.

The ROK studio CEO added that we need to improve as a people.

“Dear ladies,
Whatever you do, don’t ever be a victim in Nigeria.

Cos, your own don finish!

Even if you die, na your fault.

We need to start doing better as a people”.

Via her comment section, Mary exchanged words with a netizen who criticised her. She questioned whether it was transactional s3x the missing Nigerian ladies went for as she noted how people find love online

Mary questioned if s3x is the biggest crime in Nigeria as she pointed out how some churches have dating sites and how not everyone’s relationship is sexual.

“How do you know it was transactional s3x? Where is the proof? People find love online. Even some churches have dating sites. Or, anywhere you see Nigerian girls with a guy, she is automatically a s3x worker? Or is s3x now the biggest crime in Nigeria? Let’s be humane abeg”.

Mary Njoku tells Nigerian ladies not to fall victims

Kemi Filani reported that Celine and her Ghanaian friend, Afiba, were declared missing after they travelled from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to Abia State on April 27, 2024, to see one Andrew Ochekwo after meeting him on Facebook. Andrew was, however, shot dead while trying to evade arrest last week. A decomposing body was found near Andrew’s house on Monday, but it is yet to be ascertained if it is that of the missing ladies.

Singer Paul Okoye stated that if parents allow some persons to influence their daughters, they will continue to fall victim.

Actress Sarah Martins, on her part, called out Nigerians for their hypocrisy as she noted how some people meet the love of their lives on social media yet are busy crucifying the ladies.

This isn’t the first time Mary has tackled Nigerians for always blaming ladies who fall victim to things.

Recall that last year, in the wake of Moyo Lawal s3x tape scandal, Mary had blasted Nigerians for blaming Moyo. She questioned Nigerians always love to blame the victims.

She had also questioned why Nigerians seize every chance to criticise grieving widows, from Mohbad’s wife to Junior Pope’s wife. She noted how even when a husband dies in a plane crash along with other victims, some will still find a way to blame it on the wife, believing that she orchestrated it spiritually.
