Thomas Frank has taken aim at the Brentford fans who booed the team when 1-0 down against Chelsea.
The Bees were facing the Premier League giants at the Gtech Community Stadium and nearly earned a priceless win before being denied late on as Axel Disasi made it 2-2 at the final whistle.
Chelsea took the lead 35 minutes into the game when Nicolas Jackson found the net before shushing the home fans who had jeered him just moments earlier for a costly miss.
But after Jackson gave Mauricio Pochettino‘s side the lead, the home fans made their feelings known on Brentford’s performance by booing their side.
Addressing the boos at full-time, Frank said: “I’d like to speak to the supporters about the boos, while 1-0 down to Chelsea.
“Is that support? What the f***”.
“They were brilliant when we were 1-1, 2-1. We will fight as staff and players but we need them as well.”
Frank wasn’t the only boss who received stick during the west London derby though, with Mauricio Pochettino also getting criticism from the stands.
Chelsea fans could be heard singing ‘f*** off Mauricio’ with the Blues 2-1 down, a result that Disasi managed to make much more palatable before full-time.
Following the 2-2 draw, the Bees have now won three, drawn two and lost just once to Chelsea since securing promotion in 2021.
That result means that Brentford are now six points above the drop zone having played two games more than 18th-place Luton.
