  1. President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2024 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly. The Federal Executive Council approved an increase in the bill from N26.01tn to N27.5tn.
  2. Fresh protests erupted in Kano against the Court of Appeal’s decision that sacked Governor Abba Yusuf of the New Nigerian People’s Party, causing disruptions in commercial activities.
  3. In Imo State, two policemen and a civilian were shot dead at Ahiara Junction in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area. The attack occurred during a visit by the new Commissioner of Police, Danjuma Aboki, to boost morale among officers in the area.

  10. An Ondo State High Court sentenced Abayomi Joseph to death for hacking his neighbor, Thomas Oluwole, to death with a machete in 2021 at Ijoka area of Akure, following an alleged dispute over well water poisoning.
