- The meeting between the Minister of Labour, Simon Lalong, and the Nigeria Labour Congress has concluded without resolution, as organized labor insists that the Federal Government must address its demands before the expiration of the 21-day ultimatum issued on September 1. An indefinite strike may commence this week.
- Eight people were tragically killed during cult clashes in the Sagamu area of Ogun State, as confirmed by the State’s Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu. Nine suspects have been apprehended in connection with the violence.

- Suspected herdsmen abducted a Catholic priest and six other motorists in Enugu State. This incident occurred shortly after a separate incident where a man was killed, and several individuals were kidnapped in different locations in the state. The Catholic Diocese of Enugu has confirmed the priest’s abduction and requested prayers for his safety.
