- Assassination of Director of Finance: Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, the Director of Finance and Accounts in the office of Governor Dapo Abiodun, was killed in Abeokuta, Ogun State, while returning from a bank after withdrawing funds for the state. He was gunned down.
- Budget Allocation for 2024: The Bola Tinubu-led administration plans to allocate N6.75tn of a projected N27.5tn budget on defense and security, education, and infrastructure in 2024. A significant portion, N6.48tn (96%), is designated for personnel and pension, marking an increase from the 2023 provision.
