  1. A temporary restraining order was issued by the Rivers State High Court in Isiokpo on Wednesday, preventing the Rivers State House of Assembly from proceeding with the planned impeachment of Governor Siminalayi Fubara. The court’s order applies to the Speaker of the House, Martin Amaewhule, Deputy Speaker, Dumle Mao, the Clerk of the House, and the State Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Chibuzor-Amadi.
  2. The House of Representatives has decided to launch an investigation into the National Population Commission’s expenditure of the N800 billion allocated by the Federal Government for the 2023 Population and Housing Census.
