  1. Mustapha Habib Ahmed, the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has issued a warning regarding the recent release of water from the Cameroon Lagdo dam. This release is anticipated to result in more flood disasters affecting several states. The states at risk include Taraba, Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi, Anambra, Edo, Delta, and Bayelsa, with Adamawa already grappling with the effects.
  2. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially refuted any withdrawal from the appeal process related to the ongoing Kano Governorship election petition case.   8. Tragic news emerges as terrorists reportedly abduct more than 30 farmers in the early hours of Saturday in Chikuri community, located within Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. A resident, Dogara Peter, confirmed this distressing incident and revealed that his mother and sister were among the victims. The abduction took place while the victims were working in Maikudi’s farms.
  9. Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has dedicated his triumph in the tribunal court to both God and the people of Abia. Governor Otti extended an olive branch to his opponents, urging them to set aside their differences and collaborate in the development of the state. Ismail Inah Hussein, a former federal lawmaker who represented Idah Federal Constituency in Kogi State, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State.
