- President Bola Tinubu appointed Dr. Olayemi Cardoso as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, replacing Folashodun Shonubi, who was serving in an acting capacity. This move followed the suspension of Godwin Emefiele. The President also nominated four deputy governors to the apex bank, as announced by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity.
- Abdul-Samad Rabiu, Chairman of BUA Group, announced the company’s plans to reduce cement prices in Nigeria. He made this announcement after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
