  1. On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu urgently filed a motion to halt the release of his academic records by Chicago State University (CSU) to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Tinubu seeks to postpone the implementation of the self-effectuating order compelling CSU to comply with Atiku’s subpoenas until Monday.
  2. Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, publicly appealed to Governor Godwin Obaseki for forgiveness, acknowledging that he might have made mistakes as a human being. Shaibu’s plea was made during a press conference on Thursday, emphasizing the importance of a successful administration in the state.
