The Location

I love reading up on music, pop culture and listening to music; especially Punk and Golden Oldies! Sometimes my anxieties become hard for me to control so I would need my support staff to be patient, proactive, responsive and able to follow my guidelines that help keep me happy and content.

Someone of the people supported may display behaviours that can challenge, so applicants will need to be confident in dealing with tricky, unusual and complex situations. An ideal candidate would be able to wear several different hats in one day, adapting approaches for a variety of people within a single shift.

Qualifications, experience and attributes

Essential criteria
  • The ability to be a good team player
  • Meeting our key attributes
  • Experience in mental health, learning disability and/or challenging behaviours
  • Evidence of working within a customer-centred environment
Desirable criteria
  • Gained your level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or have training in relevant practical skills
  • Computer literate – knowledge of Excel/Windows Office software applications including SharePoint, Excel, Word

Applicant requirements

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
