Police have reportedly arrested two Premier League players on suspicion of rape.
The Sun report that the two unnamed players, who are from the same club, were arrested last weekend.
One player, who is aged 19, is said to have been spoken to by police on suspicion of assault and aiding and abetting a rape.
The Sun’s report adds that following a brief interview, he was allowed to leave the club’s stadium before a formal arrest was made.
He then spent the night in a police cell and detectives then questioned him under caution.
The player’s teammate, who is the same age, was also arrested the next day and questioned on suspicion of rape.
