Two Oakland residents were arrested this week in connection with a shooting and attempted catalytic converter theft nearly two years ago in South San Francisco, police said.
The incident happened on Bay Court around 4:25 a.m. on Feb. 8, 2022, according to the South San Francisco Police Department. The victim told authorities a male suspect fired several shots during an interrupted catalytic converter theft before leaving the scene.
No injuries were reported.
Detectives eventually identified a 25-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, both of Oakland, as suspects in the case and obtained warrants for their arrest, police said.
On Wednesday, the suspects were arrested in Oakland and booked into San Mateo County jail.
The man was booked on attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and attempted grand theft charges and the woman was booked on an attempted grand theft charge, police said.
