Victor Osimhen and Napoli are yet to reach an agreement on a new contract, according to Italian publication, Corriere dello Sport.
According to the tabloid, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda met Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis on Wednesday to sort out details of the new contract.
Both parties are yet to reach an agreement on wages and the possible inclusion of a release clause.
With the forward keen to remain at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona, the issue is expected to be resolved in the next few days.
The Nigeria international joined his teammates for pre-season training in Dimaro on Tuesday.
Osimhen has two years remaining on his contract but the Partenopei want him to commit to another two years amid interest from European big guns
He should leave now that most clubs want him. By the end of next season he may not be in high demand again.
