Another theory that supports the concept of parallel universes is the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics. According to this interpretation, every time a particle exists in a state of superposition, the universe splits into multiple versions, each corresponding to a different outcome. For example, if a particle has a 50-50 chance of being in one of two states, the universe would split into two versions, one where the particle is in state A and another where it is in state B. This has led some scientists to speculate that there may be an infinite number of parallel universes, each corresponding to a different outcome of every quantum event.

While the concept of parallel universes remains purely theoretical at this point, it has captured the imagination of scientists and laypeople alike. It has been the subject of numerous science fiction stories, movies, and TV shows, and has inspired countless philosophical and metaphysical discussions. Some scientists have even suggested that the existence of parallel universes may have practical applications, such as in quantum computing.
