With the second international break of the season upon us, there is a sparsity of top-level matches to enjoy on Wednesday.
However, there are some big clashes as the Women’s Champions League group stage continues its first round while there is an intriguing fixture in the Brazilian Serie A where Atletico Mineiro take on Gremio.

Once the leading force in women’s football, Arsenal have been leapfrogged by plenty of their domestic rivals in recent years and have endured another shaky start to the season this time around.
The Gunners drew with Everton on Sunday, meaning they have taken only five points from their opening three WSL games.
Jonas Eidevall’s side were beaten 1-0 in the away leg of their Champions League qualification clash with Hacken which is a real worry ahead of a trip to German giants Bayern Munich.
Bayern are regular underperformers in the Champions League but the fact they have won their opening seven games of the season by an aggregate score of 25-3, coupled with Arsenal’s slow start, suggests the hosts should prevail in their opener.

Both Atletico Mineiro and Gremio are clinging onto their Copa Sudamericana spots in the Brazilian Serie B and the pair could play out a tight match on Wednesday night.
Atletico have excelled at home, losing just one of their last 12 matches at the MRV Arena in a run which includes eight wins, and should have too much for the Immortal Tricolor.
Both teams have scored in six of the last eight meetings between the pair and seems likely to land again given Gremio have netted at least twice in four of their last six outings.
However, Atletico’s home form should see them through and with key defenders Rodrigo Ely and Jemerson injured for the visitors, the hosts should outscore Gremio in Belo Horizonte.

Barcelona women to win 2-1 @ 7/1
Manchester City are sitting pretty atop the WSL table but a visit from a frighteningly strong Barcelona is a completely different challenge to anything they will have experienced this term.
Barca have netted 18 goals while winning their past two games and the reigning champions of this competition have now won 16 matches on the spin.
However, City have kept three consecutive clean sheets and should put up more of a fight than Barcelona’s recent opponents, with Gareth Taylor’s side going 29 games without conceding more than twice in a match.
With Alexia Putellas, Caroline Graham Hansen and Ewa Pajor in frightening form, Barca have the attacking talent to take the win. They have conceded in their last two games, though, making a 2-1 win for the champions an appealing correct-score bet.
