Afrobeat artist Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has dished out a note of warning to record label owners in Nigeria.
He advised them to stop trying to clone him. He further told them that they should tell their stylist to stop sending mails to brands with his name attached just to get clothes.
He expressed that he was going to pull up to their shows and step on them on stage because that was his shit. He went on to rant about a fake celebrities and a fake industry.
In his words, he had this to say,
“tell your stylist to stop sending mails to brands with my name to get clothes. I’m going to pull up to your show and step on your stage because that is my shithole. Fake celebrities, fake industry. Labels get creative. Stop trying to clone me.”
Now recall that just a few minutes ago, Kemi Filan had reported that Rema had taken to the X platform to announce that there was no more Big 3 in Africa as there was now a Big 4. He hinted at the fact that he was now part of the revered Afrobeat artists such as Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid.
Back in the beginning of the year, Rema who had paid a visit to billionaire Tony Elumelu had expressed that he was going to bring the Grammys home in 2024. He assured the billionare of this while he took pictures with the Tony Elumelu’s children.
Also recall that two weeks ago, Rema had vented as he walked off the stage in frustration at a festival in Dreamville.
While performing, he suffered a production malfunction. He had angrily gotten off stage as he slammed the production team for messing up his performance.
