In an earnings call, the CEO of Qualcomm, Cristiano Amon, said that products with the Snapdragon X Elite will launch in mid-2024, just in time for back-to-school. Furthermore, he said that the launch of products with this chipset is tied to the release of the next version of Microsoft Windows and that the next version of Windows will have a lot of AI capabilities, spilling the beans on the features of the next version of Windows.
At the moment, there’s no information on the name of the next version of Windows. Some say that Microsoft will continue to call it Windows 11 but with the addition of AI beside it, given that it will have many AI-powered features. Whereas, other says that Microsoft could call it Windows 12. Whatever the case, the next version of Windows is arriving around June 2024, and with that, we’ll see PCs powered by the Snapdragon X Elite chipset.
